Bible Institute Classes

We started the Bible Institute on March 9! Every Wednesday several pastors—mostly our staff, with a few pastors from other churches as well—come to the mission for our class on growing spiritual leadership taught by Melissa Pantoja. Every Friday several more pastors at our church plants further down south meet in Guanjiquil and Miguel teaches them the same material (picture coming in May update). We are very pleased with the connections being made and engagement we’re seeing in the classes! Pray that these lessons will continue to be helpful for the pastors to grow their own leadership and identify and develop the leaders in their churches.

Construction Projects

The roof’s construction for our church plant in La Victoria finished this April! Our part in the Los Jutes school construction has also been finished. The kitchen at the mission is being renovated and should be finished by May. Praise God for His provision!

World Race Team in El Paraíso

Thanks to Adventures in Missions for the World Race team of girls that spent the month of March helping our church in El Paraíso! Their service included teaching English at Monte Cristo School and San Miguel School and helping with evangelism, women’s ministry, and community outreach. It was so great to have them!

San Jose Outreach

Pastor Santos got to take some El Espinal church members to the church in San Jose to do a Bible and feeding program for the kids. In March, we had over 80 participants! All of the kids had a lot of fun learning more about Jesus and coloring. Pray for the continuation of these outreaches!

Los Jutes School Outreach

For an hour every Thursday, we have a block of time to teach the children at the school in Los Jutes a memory verse, Bible stories, and more about God. It has been so great interacting with them and sharing the gospel! In April invited the children to accept Christ, and 8 kids went up front to pray with Mariela and Pastor Edgardo!

Pastors’ Meeting

A pastor’s meeting for all the churches was held in April at the mission for encouragement and to check up on preparations for all of the camps for families and youth that are happening soon. Be praying for the impact of these camps!

Spring Intern

Ariel, a 22-year-old photographer from Colorado who came on a short term missions trip with Meridian Point Church in January 2015, interned with us for two months to help teach the Los Jutes school outreach, be involved with the El Espinal church, and travel to all the church plants to take photos for our updated website!
